Brazosport is an American city located in Brazoria County in Texas, United States. According to the 2000 census, Brazosport has an unincorporated population of 59,653 people.
It lies near the Texas Gulf Coast, where the entire State of Texas began, the place where AmericaÂ’s first deep-water port was established and the stateÂ’s first capital was founded near West Columbia.
The Brazoria County, particularly the Brazosport area, is known throughout for its rich history, diversity, and more importantly, natural beauty. It doesnÂ’t get any better than Brazosport.
The city of Brazosport is served by the Brazosport Independent School District, of which Brazosport High School and Brazosport College are members. A secondary school, Brazosport High School is located at the intersection of West 2nd Street and State Highway 288 and handles grade nine to twelve.
Brazosport College is a coeducational public college and located in Lake Jackson, Texas. The Institution is pretty new. It opened in 1968, and currently offers two-year and four-year degrees. Brazosport College, or BC for short, has several notable facilities inside the campus.
