Boerne
Located in Kendall County, southwest of San Antonio, Texas, Boerne was named after a German author Ludwig Borne. Boerne prides itself for its notable public school system highlighted by its excellent Advanced Placement Programs, which is recognized nationwide for its excellence and high success rates.

Boerne is a small melting pot of sorts, with its demographics showcasing a very diverse mix of individuals. Considering its German roots and influences, it is not surprising that Boerne has a notable demographic of Europeans, as well as Hispanics, African Americans and Asians.

Some of the major tourist drawers to Boerne is the annual Boerne Berges Festival. Which usually happens during Father's Day Weekends, and is a three day celebration commemorating the Berges Fest. It was orginailly an ice cream festival which eventually branched out to become a gathering to exhibit the arts and the crafts of those in Boerne. Its history dates back to the German roots of the town of Boerne. One of the major sponsors and supporters of the said festival is the town's Chamber of Commerce. For those who want to have a taste of quiet living with European influence, Boerne in Texas may just be for you: quiet and idyllic but is still proud to be showcasing a rich cultural background.
