The City of Homes. ThatÂ’s what most people call Bellaire, as the city is mostly residential. But there are offices in Bellaire too within the 610 Loop along the city limits.
Again as of the 2000 census, Bellaire is noted as the 27th wealthiest location by per capita income in Texas. A journalist wrote in 2008 that municipal enclaves in and around the Houston area, including the city of Bellaire, are a little more than glorified neighborhoods.
The city of Bellaire has a total area of 9.4 km2 (or 3.6 square miles) according to the United States Census Bureau. It seems like such a small area, and it is, but the catch is that all of it is land.
Bellaire is somewhat landlocked by the cities of Southside Place, West University Place, and Houston. The weather is warm throughout with brief spells of rain from June to September.
But Bellaire summers are hot. DonÂ’t say we didnÂ’t warn you.
