Aransas Pass
Aransas Pass is an American city in San Patricio and Aransas, Nueces areas in the State of Texas. According to the 2000 census, the cityÂ’s population is at 8,138. It is named after the nearby Aransas Pass.

LetÂ’s talk a little about geography. The city of Aransas Pass has a total area of 134.3 km2 (or 51.8 square miles). But not all of it is land. Out of 134.3 km2, around 106.5 km2 (41.1 square miles or 79%) is water, and only 27.8 km2 (10.7 square miles or 21%) is land.

Aransas Pass is situated on the Texas mainland and connected to Mustang Island through a causeway thatÂ’s six miles long. Port Aransas is located in Mustang Island.

The small town of Aransas Pass introduced some famous figures.

Emory Bellard is an Aransas Pass citizen, a former Offensive Coordinator at the University of Texas and now Head Coach for Texas A&M. Bellard invented the Wishbone formation. In the same vein, Tommy Blake is a standout football player currently playing for the Texas Christian University.

Schools in the city of Aransas include Aransas Pass High School, Blunt Middle School, Charlie Marshall Elementary School, Kieberger Elementary School, and Faulk Early Childhood School.
