Andrews
Andrews, Texas happens to be one of the many county seats of the state of Texas it's the county seat of a county of the same name, which in turn was named for Texan Revolution soldier Richard Andrews. Apart from this, and the fact that Andrews, Texas is one third of the West Texas Tri-Cities (the others that make it up are Odessa and Midland), there is nothing specifically remarkable about the city in the context of tourist destinations. Andrews, Texas is better known for its lands and its oil wells rather than for cultural attractions its very first oil well was drilled in 1929 and since then, Andrews City (and much of Andrews Country for that matter) had become known as a Mecca of Oil. Of course, given that Andrews cannot rely on oil wells for the rest of its existence oil is known to run out Andrews, Texas has allowed itself to become the projected site for the HT3R Energy Research Facility, as well as opening the Andrews Business Park South and building the ACE Arena. One of the controversies with regards to Andrews trying to find other sources of income was to allow some of its properties to be used for waste disposal currently, only regular waste is disposed of in Andrews, but negotiations are underway for allowing low-level radioactive waste to be disposed of there as well. So far, motions have been denied.
